Patricia Ann Pierga (McKanas)
On Sunday, December 30, 2018, Patricia Ann Pierga, Loving mother of eight children, passed away at the age of 69.
Patricia, of Apopka Florida, was born on March 9th 1949 in Lynn Ma., to the late Margaret and Alfred McKanas. Patricia graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1966 and then went on to work for John Hancock in Boston. Patricia later worked as a secretary at St. Mary’s Italian Church in Salem Ma. and the Archdioceses of Boston. After retirement Patricia went worked part-time for the Apopka Police Department. On November 1969 she married Richard J. Pierga, they raised six daughters, Kathleen, Julie, Jennifer, Kristie, Kimberly and Kelly and two sons Patrick and Kyle.
Patricia had a passion for the Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Sunday School Teacher and a volunteer for many of the churches funds raising events. She was also an avid walker and had a passion and love for Disney World, a place she could go to be a kid again, and was an annual pass holder. Patricia was known for her infectious smile and kind and compassionate spirit.
Patricia is survived by her 6 children, Jennifer Crowe, Kristie Pierga, Kimberly Pierga, Patrick Pierga, Kelly Pierga and Kyle Pierga, also grandchildren 5, Avery, Aiden and Evan Crowe, Madison Currier and Richard Bochynski III.
