A Mom like no other. She started her life in the beautiful hills of West Virginia, married my Dad, who was in the military and they moved to New York City, and then to Connecticut. It was a totally different culture, but Mom adapted to it with class. It was there she and Dad raised three boys, Matthew, Dennis (me) and Peter. Life changed as it often does. Mom and Dad parted ways, and Mom met who I consider to be the love of her life, Ralph Crone who she would spend the rest of her married life with until his passing in 2012. Mom was loved by everyone, including her boys, her grandchildren, and great grand children. Let me say personally that Mom, I miss you so badly. It’s only been a week, and I hurt like hell. But I will keep my promise to you to be strong, and go on with living. One day, we’ll see each other again. I love you and I miss you. Your loving son, Denny

As beautiful as my Mouse was on the outside, her true beauty was her heart. She was all the kind things that a grandmother should be, plus so much more. I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to become so close with her. I remember late nights at my dad’s (her son, Peter) condo, with her playing the spoons. Stories from her childhood of her and her sister, Shirley trying to get more pennies so that they could get popcorn at the movies. Her taking me to the pool, with her not knowing how well I could swim. The thing from my childhood that stands out the most is her taking me shopping for a new sundress for church. Very rarely did I ever hear her get angry, she was always patient and kind, but if she was mad, she a spitfire, for sure. We didn’t live close to her geographically, but she always made a point of staying in touch, and I was very lucky to have become so close to her after my dad’s death. I love you, Mouse, and miss you so much. Love, Shannon
