Betty Jean "BJ" (Sims) Alexander, 65, of Orlando, FL. joined the angels on January 16, 2017, at 2:45am. She was surrounded by loved ones. BJ was born May 22, 1951 to The late Charlie D Sims and Juanita (Holton) Sims. Sister of the late Brenda S (Sims) Cotton. Survived by loving Husband Alan R Alexander of Orlando; Son Brian W Moseley, daughter-in-law Denise Moseley of Cocoa FL; Daughter Robin (Alexander) Prozzoly of Pittsburgh, PA. "Nanny" to 6 grandchildren; Brenna Prozzoly, Alyssa Prozzoly, and Samantha Prozzoly of Pittsburgh, PA; Gracie Moseley, Kaitie Moseley, and Kai Moseley. She loved eBay, leaving many people without a regular buyer and Amazon to go bankrupt. She excelled at tiny miniature fairy houses. A craft she held close to her heart, sometimes taking a month just to get every detail right, every flower, grass stem, pebble, and person in perfect harmony within the scene she created. She had a heart of gold and loved deeply. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. So full of life, always telling a good story accompanied with an infectious laugh, that filled the room. She loved deeply; especially her husband, children, and grandchildren, leaving a legacy of love, respect, honesty, and kindness for her children to pass on to theirs.
For twenty two years she followed her husband as he served in the United States Air Force. Traveling to Turkey, Spain, Maine, Florida, Hawaii, Germany and finally Delaware. She always looked forward to the adventure. Raising two kids while Alan "played" with the airplanes. She never turned down a chance to see or do new things. She was an accomplished artist with two of her pieces displayed in the nursery of Buckingham Palace, England. All in all she was courageous and faced her end like she faced all things in life, head on and head strong. She was and is loved. There will never be another like her. She was truly one of a kind. Beautiful and loving to all. We will miss her.

My sister-in-law was very talented and had a big heart. Everything she made was very detailed and beautiful. She was very proud of her work, and loved to explain it in detail. BJ was fun loving, and never backed down from a challenge. She always had a story to tell and could hold a conversation with anyone. Even through all her suffering in recent years, she always had a smile and would ask how others were doing. I will miss her.

I was so sad to hear of BJ’s passing, and am so thankful I was able to see her and hug her one last time a few weeks ago. She was such a sweet, happy and funny lady who I enjoyed spending time with. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends, and prayers for God’s love to wrap you all in His loving arms and give you comfort and peace.

Dear BJ, what am I going to do without you sitting in my kitchen while I am getting everything ready when we had parties? What am I going to do with you asking me what I was making and how did I make it? I can still see you sitting in your favorite place at the counter, sharing pictures from your phone…possibly pictures of your latest project or showing me those creepy snapchat pictures. My reactions always made you laugh that unmistakable laugh. What are we going to do without you? We’ll look in the faces of your children and grandchildren and see glimpses of you in them. We’ll hear your husband share stories of you and your travels and we’ll see the love he has for you and always will have for you. We will be gracious and polite, just as you were. We love you so much and you will live on forever in our hearts. Love and miss you so much! Trish
