I worked with Steve at SSA in Baltimore for several years. He is like a brother to me and is very much missed. Loved hearing his stories about life experiences like coaching baseball with the kids. Deepest sympathy to Steve’s family, Maria and JR, Steve’s brothers David and Jimmy, daughter Katie. He talked about all of you with love in his heart.
Sincerely

Please accept my condolences on Steve’s passing. May God’s peace be with you always but especially at this difficult time.
I’m a co-worker of Steve’s and I had the pleasure of interacting with this easy-going, caring, gentle, funny and widely-read gentleman who would easily converse on any topic from home improvement to auto repair and everything in between. Most importantly, a man who loved and cared for his family.
Rest peacefully my friend; you will be missed.

Steve was a co-worker and friend. I used to tell him he should be on Jeopardy because he knew something about everything and everything about some things. But what I’ll miss most about Steve is his kindness. He was a good person and he will be remembered fondly and often. Sending prayers, sympathy, and love.

I’ve known Steven since college at FSU. Scalp ’em Noles. We lived across the hall from each other at the infamous Selby 1 Southern Scholarship Foundation House. Man what a time that was and what a gang. Somehow we graduated anyway, and years later I’m walking into work and see this guy with a truck decked out in Seminole stickers. So I asked the guy if he was a fan or an alum. He said he was an alum and we started sharing stories about teachers and people. It took us about 5 minutes to figure out some of those stories were about EACH OTHER. Yep… Steve was working just one floor above me at Social Security. Now I regret not going out a little more with him. Great guy and one it was nice to claim as a friend.
My condolences to his wife and family. He is a tough loss to bear.

Long after his passing but I did not hear of his it until much later. I lost touch with him for a few years and I regret that fact. He was a great guy and helped me a great deal, I too am an old co-worker of his, I hope he is in a better place now. RIP big guy !
