Harlan Bradford Gourdie, 57, departed this life July 26, 2017. Harlan was born September 29, 1959 in Rochester, NY to Moreen and Brad Gourdie. Harlan graduated from Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio in 1978 and attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1983. Harlan was Eagle Scout and proud of his years with the Scouts. As an adult, he was an archery instructor and troop leader.
On Dec 18, 1982, Harlan married his soul mate, Jennifer Joan Curren and they made their home in Broken Arrow, OK where they raised their children, Josh and Rachel.
Harlan worked for several audio-visual companies and later started his own company, ACE Audio-Visual. Harlan and Jennifer loved to camp and enjoyed travelling, especially their last trip on a sailing ship in the Caribbean. His friends admired his loyalty and his sense of humor and he will be sorely missed.
Harlan was preceded in death by his father, Bradford Larry Gourdie. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, mother, Moreen Mullett Gourdie; children Josh Gourdie and wife Judith Lafaver of Kobe, Japan; Rachel and husband, Ian Wrightsman, of Tulsa; brothers Chris and wife Kari, Eric and wife JJ, sister Heather and husband Jeff Switters; nieces and nephews, Haley, Riley, Keifer, Evelyn, Taylor and Kami; sister-in-laws Suzanne Yeniscavich of Louisville, KY; Julie and husband Steve Grober of Muskogee, OK and Kathleen and Garold Beisly of Broken Arrow, OK.
