Altamonte Springs – Elias C. Galeana, 72, died Thursday, June 1st 2017 at his home in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Mr. Galeana was born July 20, 1944.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Irene Galeana-Sanchez; his son, Juan Carlos; his son, Jamie Galeana and his wife Tara Galeana, grandchildren Mojave and Willow; his daughter Sonia Cabrera and husband Fernando Cabrera, grandsons Elias and Xavier; his son Manuel E. Galeana and his wife Kristen Galeana, grandchildren Letticia, Angelica, Elijah and Aliyah; his daughter Erika Galeana-Sanchez; his son Rolando Galeana and his wife Becky Galeana.
Born in Montor Guerrero, Mexico he immigrated with his wife and children to the United States in 1979.
In his early years, he was a cowboy and an avid horseback rider. He enjoyed tending his father’s land and caring for the family livestock. Motivated for a better quality of life for his growing family, Elias and his wife Irene pioneered a new path for themselves by immigrating to the United States. Through many obstacles and challenges they persevered and managed to keep the family of 8 united. His legacy will always be remembered as a family man and a humble servant of God who respected and treated everyone equally and gave more of himself than he expected. His surviving children will always remember him for his sense of humor, his love for music, passion for writing, and above all his love and devotion to his friends and family. A Fond memory Mr. Galeana's children cherished was his beautiful smile and amazing humor. His mission in life was to be in constant contact with our Heavenly Father.
In his last days, he was a deacon and devout member of the Genesis Spanish Seventh Day Adventist church in Apopka, Florida.
