Christopher Lamar Holmes, Also known as Daddy, Chris, Jesse, and Bubba , was born in Orlando Florida August 17, 1982.
Chris was the son of Frankie and Lamar Holmes. He was also loved by his step dad Mike Stephens and his sister Shannon Holmes all whom he was reunited with in heaven. He was a loving father to Eve'Lynn Holmes 15 and Maria Holmes 11. Chris was a nephew, a cousin and just a great friend to so many people. He fought a long tough battle with diabetes, it eventually claimed his life on January 16, 2017. While he was here on earth he made a huge impact on many people's hearts. He lived life with such sincerity in everything that he did. He was a man of integrity and full of kindness towards everyone. He was a loving person. Chris could always brighten your day with his humor and smile. He left behind many people who love him dearly. He will be greatly missed.
A letter from Eve'Lynn:
My daddy was sweet, caring, always put others before himself, & funny. He made the most out of what he was given in this life. He was the most goofy Big Hearted person I know. He was a daddy, good friend, Father, brother, and family member. He always found his way in life, even in situations I would have given up. He always put others before himself. That's why he was so important as my dad. He showed me that no matter what life throws at you, you can get through it. I love and miss him so much!
A letter from Maria:
My daddy was loving to everyone. He was funny and caring. We were his whole world. He said he would never let anything happen to us and that he would let no one hurt us , he protected us. Your mom and him still love each other just not like they used to. They wanted the same thing for us, to be happy. Also for each other to be happy. I love & miss him so much!
Thank you all for the prayers and condolences for us during this unexpected loss. We really appreciate all of you!

I rember when we were little kids bubba shannon aunt frankie and uncle richard lived over near zellwood next to a huge clay pit. We would run out in the clay pits and play indians. The clay hills to us at that time seemend so huge it was like climbing mt everest to us. We would climb threw the trees hide and play like we were hunting. Bubba talked me and shannon into going all the way to another ptoperty to there chicken coup. We had to climb the steap mt holding on to branches. We got to the chicken coup went in and chased the chickens to see who could catch one. I rember the people coming out yelling and we ran as fast as we could rolling and tumbling down threw the tress of this clay mountain of ours. My foot got stuck in some roots. Bubba came all the way back up to help me get unstuck and held me up as i hobbeled the rest of the way down.. Yes we got into trouble. Had to set in time out. We must have been mabey 5 or 6. Lol miss them days!
