Melanie, Todd and family,
I am so sorry and heartbroken for you all for the loss of your Brittney. She was absolutely beautiful. You have all been on my mind since finding out about this tragedy. I have shed so many tears with you and for you. My heart genuinely hurts for you. I wish there was something I could do or say to take away your pain. I can’t imagine any greater pain in this world than the loss of a child. Please know that I’m sending hugs and love your way and, I will keep you all in my thoughts, heart and prayers.
Tam Wilbourne Smith, Bethany and Sammy
When we reach the heavenly garden
And see her in full bloom,
The flower we loved so dearly
And thought God plucked too soon;
Oh, then we will know the reason,
Tho’ we know it not today,
Why in her fragrant beauty
God took our flower away.

To Mike, Lisa, Melanie, the boys and ALL of Brittney’s loving family and friends…of which there were so very many. She was a shimmering gem. When I was around her, she had a brilliant aura that lit up a room. So beautiful, very charismatic, and taken far too soon. I can’t imagine the hurt those closest to Brittney are feeling and I can only hope the pain eases and her memories will keep her alive every day with us all. She will be remembered fondly in my heart. God Bless, Sherri and Zaner.

I live off Lake Underhill and hear emergency vehicles all the time, but there was a peculiar urgency of the emergency vehicles that stopped me from my task at hand; I felt something very tragic had happened on Lake Underhill and sent up a prayer. My deepest condolences for your families’ losses. My sister and her boyfriend also died together in an accident in a very similar way at the ages of 19 and 20. My heart goes out to your families, as I know that the shock and pain are overwhelming.
