Uncle Stan…so sad to learn of your passing. I felt like you represented all the past generations of the Fries family. You were the one from whom I could get answers to questions about my mom and my grandparents. Through your stories, I felt like they were somehow still alive. I could laugh as you related things that happened to you and mom as you were growing up. I’m sure you’ll have loving family members in heaven waiting for your stories. Thank you for being my godfather all these years and being there in case I ever needed you. I’ll miss you.

I have fond memories of a big smile and laughter always from Stan and many visits to our home and family gatherings in Plymouth with Stan and Ginny. Stan, my uncle Bud and my dad (John Edward Burwell) would turn all these occasions into a circus…..sending love and sympathies to all of the family…

Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time. Uncle Stan will be truly missed by all. I will miss the phone conversations we had at lease once a month. Uncle Stan was such a great cook, never needed a recipe for anything. He would put together healthy meals, then tell me about them. He always found good deals on things,( food, electronics, or things he wanted). He was very proud of his family, excitement was in his voice when he talked about all of you. I know there were family members he really missed and now he’s with them once again. May he rest in peace.
