Virgil A. Smith

Virgil A. "Al" Smith, aged 88, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on October 10, 2026. Born on February 14, 1938, in Coolville, Ohio, Virgil lived a life dedicated to service, family, and his profession as a financial planner. He proudly served his country in the Army and he was a man of strong Christian faith. Those commitments shaped his values and influence in both his personal and professional life. 

Al is survived by his son, Robert Smith; his daughter, Angela Smith; and grandchildren; Paul (Jose) Smith, Samantha (James) Buckner, Chris (Fatima) Peacock, Mike (Samantha) Peacock, Rusty Smith, Tiff Smith and Serena Smith; and great-grandchildren, Lila Smith, PJ Smith, Daniel Buckner, Hannah Peacock, Patrick Peacock, Iziak Peacock, and Jeremy Peacock. He will be remembered for his unwavering support of his family and his passion for helping others achieve their financial dreams. 

Al's legacy will endure through the lives he touched, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Sylvia Smith; his wife of 55 years, Wanda Smith; daughter, Julia Smith; brothers; Arnold Smith and Robert "Glen" Cubbison, sisters; Ruth Passzagno and Shirley Welsh.
