It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Stoner, who departed this life on February 16, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on March 15, 1941, in Sumter County, Florida, Shirley lived a life dedicated to her family and community. Shirley earned her high school diploma from Edgewater High School in Orlando and worked as a Customer Service Manager at several Walmart stores in Orlando. Before that, she worked as a Records Clerk for the Orange County Government. For many years, she was co-owner of a ceramic studio with her late husband, Chester. Later in life, she was an avid volunteer at Killarney Elementary School in Winter Park, Florida. Her compassion and commitment will be remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Michelle D. Spalding (Adam Lyn Crawford), who carries forward Shirley’s spirit and love. Grandchildren: Sean Bradly Goodwin, Travis Nelson Spalding, Emily Ann Spalding, Natasha Michelle Stoner, and Chandler-Rose Ann Stoner; great-granddaughter: Amelia Sophia Goodwin.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at Loomis Funeral Home on February 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Shirley Ann Stoner’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Hamish and Myrtle Nairn, her husband of more than 60 years, Chester Leon Stoner, daughter Melissa Dawn Stoner, and grandson Brandon Michael Stoner, son-in-law Patrick Goodwin, brother-in-law, Gary Stoner, brother Frank Nairn, sister-in-law Lorna Nairn, and sister, Isabelle Hilliard.
