Sherry Lynn Jones Way

Sherry Lynn Jones-Way was born on March 28, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA was sent to her eternal home on November 26, 2025, in Orlando, Florida where she resided for over 40 years. Sherry loved the sunshine state of Florida where she met the love of her life, her husband Henry Way. She was the beloved daughter of the late Joyce Angelene Washington and Eddie Oscar Taylor.

Sherry, as she was known as ICEY growing up, worked proudly in security detail (with no gun!!) had the opportunity to meet the professional ball players, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sherry’s passion was scented candles, she loved the scented wax melts, and her favorite was Rose Water and Strawberry, including doing everything on her terms and especially the lottery games. She was one of the luckiest (blessed) people when it came to the lottery.

Sherry will be remembered for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter and her rare gift for remembering numbers including everyone’s age and birth dates.

Sherry is survived and missed by her loving husband Henry of 38 years. Forever cherished and remembered by her sisters Annette, Karen and Joyce; her brothers Maurice (Dottery) and Robert (Valerie); brothers-in-laws Greg (Nettie) and Kenny (Alvina); sisters-in-law Debra, Dolores and Cynthia (Tevitt). She also leaves her adored nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Sherry was preceded in death by her sister Donna, brother-in-law Carl and nephew Christopher.
