Sherman Leon Horne

Sherman Leon Horne, age 87, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on July 30, 2026. He was born on December 29, 1938, in Jolo, West Virginia.

Sherman lived a life marked by adventure, independence, and a deep passion for traveling. He enjoyed exploring new places and experiencing the world around him, following his own path and living according to his own compass. His curiosity and love of travel brought many experiences and journeys that became part of his story.

Sherman was the father of four children: Megan Morton, Christopher Horne, Elizabeth Horne, and Jessica Horne. He was also a grandfather to seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Kathleen Horne.

Sherman’s was a life uniquely his own, filled with experiences, journeys, and chapters that made his story what it was. He leaves behind memories that will remain with those who knew him and a place in the history of his family that can never be replaced.
