Sheila Ruth Lyman, age 87, of Apopka, Florida passed away on March 6, 2026. She was the best mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, wife and sister. Sheila was born on March 14, 1938 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Roy and Ollie Murray. Sheila graduated from Thompson High School and Cape Britten Business College. She moved to the United States of America in 1961, living and working in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. In 1962, she married Ron Lyman and soon after, they moved to Florida. Sheila spent 64 years in the Florida sunshine, while raising her son, Ron Jr. who would later gift her with a fantastic daughter-in-law, Stephanie. Ron Jr. and Stephanie provided Sheila with a fabulous grandchild, Jonathan Lyman, to love and spoil, which she did very well. Helping Ron Jr. and Stephanie raise Jonathan was something she excelled in, being both a grandmother and friend to Jonathan.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ron Lyman; beloved son, Ron Lyman; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lyman; brothers, Roy Murray, Gerald Murray and Roland Murray; and sister, Wanda Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ollie Murray and her brother, Phillip Murray.
