Rubie Nell Hensley

Nell Hensley, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. Born on April 7, 1947, Nell lived a life grounded in love, devotion, and quiet strength.

A dedicated mother, mother‑in‑law, and cherished Maw Maw, Nell’s greatest joy was her family. She was the heart of every gathering, the steady voice of comfort, and the warm presence that made everyone feel at home. Her love was constant, her support unwavering, and her kindness unforgettable.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hensley, the love of her life. Their bond was deep and enduring, and the memories they built together remained a source of strength and comfort to her throughout her years.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Martin, and son‑in‑law, David; her son, John Hensley III, and daughter‑in‑law, Amy. Nell was a proud Maw Maw to her grandsons Ryan (Bailey), Kyle (Dena), and Rusty (Ansley), and her granddaughter Brittany. She was also blessed with eight great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Nell leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love — a legacy her family will carry forward with pride and gratitude.

A service honoring Nell's life will be held at Loomis Funeral Home on May 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together in remembrance. Prior to the service, there will be a Public Viewing at 10:00 AM at the Loomis Funeral Home. As we celebrate Nell's life, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her memory, reception following at Bear lake Clubhouse immediately after.
