Ronald Thomas Cargil, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Thomas Cargil Sr. who departed this life on September 17, 2026 at the age of 88. He was born on July 12, 1938 in Merced, California to the late Virgil and Lellus Cargil. Ronald lived a life dedicated to serving others as a Pastor and touching countless lives through his faith and compassion.

Ronald proudly served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant before being discharged on September 12, 1969. He will be remembered not only for his military service but also for his unwatering commitment to his family and community.

Ronald is preceded in death by his loving wife Janet Cargil; granddaughter Rachael Nagy; as well as his great grandson Avery Bryant.

Ronald is survived by his loving children Ronald (Sandy) Cargil Jr., Rhonda Cargil, Randy (Debi) Cargil, Rebecca Cargil and Renee Schulte; grandchildren Michael Cargil, Christie Cargil, Mary Cargil, Catherine Cargil, Holly Nerbhuz, Korey Cargil, Shelby Collins, Sarah Nagy, Ryan Nagy, Andrew Tenney, Adam Tenney, Aaron Tenney and Harmony Schulte; as well as great grandchildren Khloe Eberhardt, Mason Orr, Aaliyah Castro, Cyrus Sicles, Soraya, Ella, Macy, Kinsley and Kameron 

Funeral Services for Mr. Ronald will be held privately at a later date.
