Raymond Lewis Dowell

Raymond Lewis Dowell, a beloved father, skilled mechanic, and a proud native of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on June 30, 1943, Raymond dedicated his life to the automotive industry, where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and customers alike through his craftsmanship and work ethic. 

Raymond spent many years honing his skills and was known for his ability to fix any vehicle that came his way. Despite his humble beginnings and education, he exemplified the values of hard work and determination that defined his life and inspired those around him. 

He is survived by his son, Michael Smith, daughter-in-law, Jenna Miller, and grandson, Michael Holland who cherish his memory and the lessons he imparted. Raymond's warm spirit and dedication to his family will be deeply missed.
