It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Wayne Barns, who left us on April 7, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on November 17, 1947, in Newton, Iowa, Philip was a dedicated painter and a beloved figure in the construction industry.
He spent his life in the warm embrace of family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by his daughter, Auriel Barns and son, Tim Barns and four grandchildren. Philip is survived by his sisters Lisa Summa, Erin Alles, and Doyne Barns, all of whom cherished him dearly.
Philip’s life was marked by his love for family, laughter, and hard work. Known for his caring nature and a great sense of humor, he touched many lives along the way. His legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents: Burdette and Caprecia Barns.
