Ms. Laurie Elizabeth Russell
Laurie Elizabeth Russell, 80, of Crooked Tree Village, Belize passed away on Sunday, May 02, 2021. Laurie was born on January 29, 1941 in Flower Garden, Belize to the late Veronica and Winston Usher. She is also preceded in death by her aunt, Rosita Pook.
She is survived by her son Elder Louis Dwight Rodriguez; granddaughter Shemeika (Shahein) Clay; great granddaughter Naomi-Rose Justice Clay; brother Raymond (Sandra) Arnold; nieces Shauna Arnold and Gina (Khendys) Gordon; great nephews Mason and Kai and great niece Gabrielle.
Laurie was an extraordinary woman who loved life and lived it to its fullest. She enjoyed being around people, reading bible stories, listening to religious songs, sewing, cooking, baking and gardening. Above all, she loved her Baptist faith. She attended mass every weekend, except when it was physically impossible. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at Loomis Funeral Homes on May 15, 2021. 420 West Main Street, Apopka, Florida 32712. Visitation will take place from 1pm-2:30pm. Funeral Service is from 2:30pm-4pm followed by a repast.
