Peggy Sue Carter, 62, of Sorrento, Florida, was welcomed into her father’s arms on January 17, 2022. She struggled with health issues the last couple of years; in the end, she had covid and pneumonia that ultimately caused her passing. She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Childers, her sister Patricia Hill and several other loved ones. Mrs. Carter leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Billy Carter; her children Jeramy Johnson, Shauna Neuman (Joseph), Brandon Saunders, Steven Carter (Kelly) and Stephanie Cobb (Brian); her sisters Margaret Dunlow (Tony) and Tammy Ferguson (Ronny); grandchildren Shyann Johnson, Lillie Johnson, Dmitrius Johnson, Malachi Johnson (Elizabeth), Micah Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson, Riley Saunders, Hayley Saunders, Colton Saunders, Jace Saunders, Audrey Occean (Warner), Brittany Dalenburg (Samuel), Allison Carter, Blake Carter, Logan Cobb, and Raymond Cobb; great-grandchildren Cooper Johnson, Gracelynn Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Tate Johnson, and Kai Occean along with several other family and friends that will greatly miss her.
Mrs. Carter loved to care for others; she prayed for others more than herself. The only thing she loved more than her family was God. She loved sharing poems and songs about God and going to church. She would tell everyone, “You are blessed and highly favored of God” her days were filled with shopping, doing crafts, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. No matter how bad her health was, she always asked what she could do to help you. She loved to make people smile and has even given away her shoes because she was such a giving person. She was the heart and soul of her family. She loved being a nana to every child; she didn’t care if they were related or not. She treated everyone like family, and she did not know a stranger. You could call her anytime, day or night, and she would be there for you. If you needed to cry, if you needed to hear her voice, or just needed her to listen, she was there. She was loved by many, and she will forever be in our hearts.
Services will be at Loomis Funeral and Family on Friday January 21st at 2pm.

Sweet Peggy, was a true angel here on earth. A smile so bright and beautiful. I didn’t have the chance to spend ample time with Peggy, but the few short hours we did spend together, forever left an impression on my heart. She was kind, always joyous and radiated with a heart for Jesus.
Her love for Jesus was something to behold. I know she is with her Heavenly Father and her beloved family.
To her husband Billy and her family, May your hearts find peace during this difficult time. Peggy will be greatly missed. I feel honored to have known this sweet soul, if only briefly.
May she rest in sweet peace.
