Marcia Robinson King, 77, of Apopka, died Saturday, August 14. She was a lifelong resident of Apopka. She was a beloved teacher for OCPS, with most of her service at Apopka Memorial Middle School. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip King. She is survived by her children Brian King and Dana (Andy) Heard of Apopka, Brett (Erin) King of Stevenson Ranch, CA and siblings Tim and Robbie Robinson. She also had seven grandchildren: Justin, Hannah, Ashton, Ryan, Olivia, Jaden, and Delaney. She attended Apopka High School, University of Florida, and Stetson University. She was crowned Miss Apopka in 1961. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She touched the lives of countless students, and she will be sorely missed. Loomis Family Funeral Home will provide funeral services with a graveside service on August 25, 2021, at 4:00 pm at Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery, 141 S. Edgewood Drive, Apopka.

Sharing in the transitioning of Marcia King, beloved teacher and one of my early employers who offered me part time work after school when I was a student Apopka Memorial High School in 1969-70. Marcia was beautiful both inside and out.

She was one of the kindest people I ever met. She didn’t have much but would give you the shirt off her back to help someone. I lost touch with her and just now learned of her passing.
