So sorry to hear about Terry’s passing. Sadly, the pandemic separated us all this past year so that we did not keep up conversations and awareness of each other very well.. However, we all have great memories of growing up with Terry. The Partens were one of the first families to get television in Apopka. Even though the nearest station was is Jacksonville, Terry would invite us over to watch TV and of course the TV reception was come and go, but it was still a great thrill to watch TV. Numerous teen age boys, of which I was one, worked with Terry at Parten’s Grocery Store at some time during the late fifties. There was always something going on there. Later in life, many hours were spent with Terry at the Elk’s Lodge being entertained by Terry about sports and politics. And of course, his helping with the many class reunions for the Class of ’58. And for the last few years still entertaining us on Facebook. We already miss you, Terry.

We’ve lost a good man and a friend who was a such a big part of of our childhood and school years. All the memories of Terry….Parten’s Market, duck hunting, the bass drum, and so many. He is fondly remembered by the Class of ’58 and missed by the whole Apopka community.
