Bob is survived by his brothers: Elmer, Norman, Johnny, Harold, Brian Couch, and the late David Couch. Bob was a loving father to eleven children Barbara Mulder, Theodore Weber, Annette Gannon, Brian Weber, Frances Couch, Beverly Miller, Jackie Millich, Barbara Johns, Jaime Owen’s, and the late Robert Couch Jr and Michael Couch. He also left behind 30 Grandchildren and 42 Great Grandchildren.
As a young child, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, with his family. He grew up in a military home and enlisted as a young adult. He served his county as an Infantryman in the U.S Army and deployed during the cold war conflict. He moved to Florida in the ’80s, where he spent the remainder of his years. Bob enjoyed many activities to include; working on car engines, traveling across the country, and spending time with his family.
Robert was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was always there to help and never to judge. A man who held his arms out for all in need. A great teacher and mentor to all. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. The world will always be a better place for the impact he made on it. His footsteps may be gone, but his shadow will always be there.

This is really hard for me. You were the most amazing grandfather any little girl could ask for. Your were always so kind hearted and generous. I miss sitting in your room with you watching nascar and talking about my future. I remember the night you were just being silly and you army crawled from your room to the cupboard to sneak snacks without gramma catching you, lol. I miss you so much and I regret not being able to see you more:( your home with gramma now. Say hi for me please RIP poppop you will forever be loved and missed!! Fly high beautiful Angel 😇

We are here watching, we love you all, Pop Pop is and will always be such an amazing man and he will be missed greatly.
Tiffany and Adam you are an amazing woman and man, you spent so much time and energy being there for everyone and it was beautiful to see, when he would be over with us, he often talked about how much he loved you both, I just want you to know that. Missi and Dwayne, we love you, and I know how hard this is, I went through it and still fight the depression from it but there will be days where it gets easier. Terry, Shelly, Misty, Scott, Angel, Brandon, Tori, Courtney and Family Ted, Sherry, all the babies too, we love you so so very much and you all make Pop pop proud, I know this because I heard so much when he was over with us on those days.

I am forever grateful and humbled to have known Dad. He helped shape me into the man I am today, and was a light in my life during my darkest moments. He gave me family, a home, love, and everything I needed when it felt like the world was against me, and I’m forever in his debt. He was truly an incredible man, and I am so blessed to have had a father like him in my life. I know that he is resting easy up there with Robby Jr and Michael, still watching over us all just as he always did.
I love you Dad, thank you for every memory and every moment we shared.

I couldn’t attend the services but I sure did watch every minute from my computer here in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. The tears were just rolling. It was a beautiful service and kids you did your daddy and pop pop proud. He and Barb (my ladybug❤🐞) have been a part of my life for almost 50 years. I always said he would have taken a bullet for me. He was my brother–in-law but he was also my protector and he proved that several times in my life. My heart was breaking seeing all my girls. I tell you when they presented that flag to Terry I thought my heart was going to burst. Kids I want all of you to know that I’m always there for you.
Rest my friend. You are home and I know you will always be looking over all of us. The last words I heard from you were I love you. I do love you past, present and always brother-in-law.
