Kevin Bertlaney, 78, of Orlando, Florida passed away on September 11, 2022. Mr. Bertlaney was born on August 07, 1944 in Peekskill, New York. In 1950 Mr. Bertlaney’s father, Fred started a business in the restaurant industry, a family diner in Montrose, NY, called Hen Hud where Kevin worked with his family. After his years at the family restaurant he went into the military, where he was enlisted from 1964-1967. After Mr. Bertlaney’s years in the military he relocated to Pompano Beach, FL where he began working at Southern Bell in 1967. He was a very devoted employee and retired from Southern Bell in the early 2000’s. While working at Southern Bell he also started a Bar & Grill called The Cork Room which is when he started the Central Florida Darting Association. He also opened up a Firehouse Subs in the early 2000’s with his son Walt. Mr. Bertlaney is preceded in death by his father Fred Bertlaney and mother Eleanor Eghazi Bertlaney and his siblings Doris Bertlaney Williams, Craig Bertlaney and Bryan Bertlaney. He is survived by his loving wife Glinda Bertlaney; children Walter Bertlaney and Doris Robe; grandchildren Kevin Bertlaney and James Cuccia; as well as great grandchildren Tessa Cuccia, Leah Bertlaney and Kevin Bertlaney Jr. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
