I am a first cousin from Colquitt, GA (Mary Cox’s daughter). Danny was a favored cousin to me (we’re only one month apart in age), a really great guy, and a good friend I looked forward to seeing when I would visit Florida. He would get us into Disney World free when my kids were growing up. He cooked ‘scrumptuous’ breakfasts for us before we would leave for tourist time. And he usually saw that we had oranges for the trip home. He was a most gracious host who made us feel welcome – always, sweet Danny, both giving and hospitable. I enjoyed those times (though they were too few) being able to visit with him and enjoy his company and his sense of humor. Even recently, when we came to see Aunt Ethel, I knew he was not well, but he would make a point to come and spend time with us at her house. I also have fond memories of being together when we were children ourselves growing up — The Odom house was a favorite stopping place for us. I will miss him and am so very sorry for your loss. My condolences to the family. Danny is loved. God bless you all and God’s grace on your family.

John was a good friend, always willing to give more than he got. He will be missed.

We were lifelong friends and roomed together for over a year. He and I were on opposite ends of the political spectrum and agreed to disagree on FB constantly. We were on the Apopka Blue Darter football team together also. I’m going to miss him for sure. He was one of the good guys. Rest in peace Big John! Gone but never forgotten. Love you man!
