John Garris, 90, of Paisley, Florida passed away on June 28, 2022. Mr. Garris was born on January 22, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Willie and Ethel Garris. Both John and his wife Nellie Mae lived in Apopka for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Faye West as well as by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Mr. Garris is survived by his beloved wife Nellie Mae Garris who he was married to for 71 wonderful years; son Paul Garris; grandchildren Robert West, Tonya Parker, Michelle Garris, Johnnie West, Melissa Jones, Michael Garris, and Josh Garris; 13 great grandchildren; as well as 6 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Garris was a hard worker who worked at Merita Bread for 36 years. He will be dearly missed by his many loved ones and friends.
