Henry W. Welker (Hank) passed away on September 20th. 2014 at 1:45 A.M. Hank was born on June 5, 1926 in New Castle Pa. He was the 5th son and 9th child of F.E. and Verna J. Welker. He enlisted in the Army in 1944 and served his country in the 1st. Cavalry, in Japan during WWII. Upon leaving the service he worked for Mooney Brothers trucking Co. when he along with his other brothers took ownership of Welkers’ Greenhouses. In addition, Henry was appointed Chief of Police of Neshannock Township where he served over (5) years. He moved to Orlando, Fl.in 1980 with his family and once again was involved with the horticultural industry. Henry had a great love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed anything western along with his collection of cowboy boots. Most of all he loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and Grandfather. His happiest days were when his family was all together. He is survived by his beloved wife Shirley of 67 yrs. , daughter Barbara, (Jim), Patricia, ( Richard ), sons Randall and Roger. Granddaughter Michelle (Kurt), and grandson Jamie, step great grandchildren Michael and Nicole Nelson. Services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25th at 11:00 A.M.at Loomis Family Funeral Home.
