George H. Roller 78
Born in Miami, Florida on May 3, 1942, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Sept 26, 2020. George was a lover of boating and passed this love on to his children. He was also a keen observer of animals whether pets or wild. Anyone who knew him, knew he had a teasing sense of humor and never missed a moment to share a laugh. He moved his young family to Plymouth in 1968 and became instrumental in opening the Apopka Chapter of the Elks Lodge. An Elk all his adult life, he gave countless hours assisting the lodge in its philanthropic endeavors. As one the early few in the used car business in Apopka, he met and helped many people with vehicles. He is survived by Virginia, his beloved wife of 57 years, his daughter Beth (Joe), his son George Jr. (Cindy), and his grandson Zachary. His knowledge, teasing, and love will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held at the Apopka Elks Lodge (201 W. Orange Street, Apopka, FL 32703) on October 10th at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s name to the Apopka Elks Lodge.
