The family of Errol sadly announces his passing on January 30, 2021.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Marjorie; his three beautiful daughters: Andrea, Marisha and Vanessa with his son-in-law, Keith and their exceptional children: Dazha, Keivana, KJ and Skyla. “Papa” was the best grandfather anyone could ever have!
Errol was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and a caring friend to many. He was a true blue baseball fan supporting his beloved NY Yankees and one of the best steel pan players of his time. We are grateful for his service as an EMS first responder in the 9/11 tragedy in New York City. Errol was truly a HERO.
His life is a blessing to all those he encountered throughout his remarkable journey. His laugh was infectious as he told his infamously witty jokes. His kindness was a shining light of comfort to any one he has ever met. The world is letting go of this Angel on Earth so he can fly to heavens above to watch over the loved ones he left behind.

My heart was deeply sadden on the passing of my friend/cousin/brother Mr Errol A Bedasie in Orlando. We have been close since childhood and was very elated to have him be my best man at my wedding. Although we did not see each other as often as we wished we were in constant contact by phone. Often during our conversations we would recall all those years we spent together when we were still in Trinidad. My entire family feels a deep loss of a dear gentle soul and pray that his family- Marge and her daughters Annie and Marissa and Vanessa and the grandchildren be consoled that he is at peace with his family in the arms of the Supreme. I will miss our usual banter and you would always be in our hearts and prayers. Rest in Peace.

Our heartfelt condolences to his family, especially Aunty Marge. Always will be remembered as a jovial, positive person even amongst his trials. He will be missed as the fun loving pan enthusiast who was a great role model to his nieces and nephews. Rest in peace Uncle Errol.
Kind memories

I worked many days with Errol on 13 William at Metropolitan Hospital EMS when I was first out of medic school in 1982.
He was a great medic, a fabulous tutor, and a wonderful man.
Errol is missed.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Errol’s passing. As a new paramedic I had the privilege and honor to have Errol as a teacher and mentor.
Errol was smart, intuitive and skilled as a paramedic, but even more evident was Errol was patient, caring and kind to everyone. He taught me the importance of respecting our co-workers, our community and our patients. He was a ferrous advocate for patients and served with honor and distinction. Errol not only made me a better paramedic, his character and kindness help me be a better person. I am eternally grateful.
I haven’t seen Errol since I left the city in 2000, but I have thought of him often and have shared experiences I had with Errol many times with coworkers and students. Errol has been a part of my life since we first met at Station 15 in 1987, and he will continue to teach new EMTs and medics through shared experiences.
May he Rest In Peace. May his family find solace in knowing the Errol will continue his life’s work of service through the provider who hear of Errol’s kindness, compassion and dedication so others may live.
With respect and honor,
Bill

Oh, what a shock. Errol and I worked together at times at Metropolitan Hospital, what a sweet natured, kind man. He introduced me to goat roti! Being young and stupid then, we would tease him a lot, and he didn’t let it bother him. he told me he started as an elevator operator, he made something of himself. The world is a little less bright of a place without him. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Errol in 1980 at Metropolitan Hospital in East Harlem. He was such a great partner and a wonderful person, in addition to being an excellent medic. I remember we used to go by the family apartment building (I can’t remember exactly where it was, but fairly close to the hospital) and he would toot the siren and turn on the lights for his 3 daughters to look out the window and see. He made a great difference in this world, and I wish you comfort during this time of loss.
