Mary Laman

Mary Laman, age 91, passed peacefully into Heaven on May 7, 2026, just shy of her 92nd birthday. Born on July 24, 1934, in Tennessee, Mary later made Florida her home, where she spent the remainder of her life surrounded by family, love, and lifelong friendships.

Mary was one of seven children and was preceded in death by all of her siblings, making her the last surviving member of her immediate family generation.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply and did all she could to care for those she loved. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, as well as several beloved stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

For much of her life, Mary worked in commercial real estate, where her professionalism, charm, and strong work ethic served her well. She carried herself with grace and elegance throughout her life — always dressed beautifully, with her hair perfectly done, makeup in place, and a radiant smile that could light up a room. Mary was truly a classy and beautiful woman inside and out.

While her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family and friends, they take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, George Laman. Mary’s love, strength, beauty, and devotion to family will never be forgotten.
