Mary Elizabeth Gilbert

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Gilbert, who left this world peacefully on February 23, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on January 20, 1945, in Orlando, Florida, Mary spent her life devoted to her family and her home. A cherished homemaker, she created a nurturing environment that was the heart of her family's life.

Mary is survived by her loving spouse, Riley Gilbert, Jr., their beloved son, Riley Gilbert, III, cherished daughter Cheryl ( Dave Elliot) Deck, Grandson Billy (Brandi) Gilbert, Great Granddaughter Shelbeigh, and other extended members who loved her.

 Her warmth, compassion, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

In this time of reflection and remembrance, we invite all who knew Mary to pay their respects and honor her memory with stories and moments shared.

 A Celebration of her wonderful life will be held on March 21, 2026 at Apopka Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 750 Roger Williams Rd, Apopka, FL 32703 at 1pm. 

Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life. May she rest in eternal peace in the kingdom of Heaven. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Woodrow and Edna Eiland, and Son Marvin Gilbert.
