Linda Lee Montgomery joined her husband in the Lord's Army on June 30, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. While we grieve her loss, we find comfort knowing Mom and Dad are together again.

Mom was born on October 1, 1946, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to Alan and Roberta Orlaska. She proudly served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during the Vietnam era, carrying the strength and determination that would define her life.

Mom was smart, tough, and never afraid to tell you exactly what she thought. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois and dedicated her career to helping others as a school social worker and counselor. She touched the lives of countless children and families, and many stayed in touch with her long into adulthood—a testament to the difference she made.

One of Mom's favorite sayings was, "There but for the grace of God go I." She understood that any of us can be one hardship, one loss, or one unexpected turn in life away from needing help ourselves. That belief shaped how she treated people—with compassion instead of judgment and understanding instead of criticism. She spent her life helping others and believing in those who needed someone in their corner.

Even after a long and meaningful career, Mom wasn't ready to slow down. She counseled until April 2026 because sitting still was never her style. She loved to travel, ride her bike, play golf, and she never met a pair of shoes she didn't like. A true people person, Mom could start a conversation with anyone and leave them feeling like a friend. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and lived her faith through the way she cared for others.

Mom was the devoted mother of Lora (Chris) Kemper, Melissa (Steve) Baker, Michelle (Wayne) Hasty, and Stephen (Lisa) Binash.

She was a proud grandmother to Amanda (Tyler) Biggs, Mikayla (Shea) Thompson, Zak (Tia) Kemper, Mark (Abby) Kemper, Andrew Baker, Rhian Baker, Brielle (Greg) Faloona, and Delaney (Mike) Smith, and an adoring Grammy to Mason and Bauer.

Mom leaves behind a family who will miss her strength, wisdom, laughter, stubborn streak, and the fierceness we all knew.

Mom is Home- with the Lord and with Dad. We know that they are together and mom is looking around in awe saying, "Dennis, isn't this majestic?"

Mom was one of a kind, and we wouldn't have wanted her any other way. ❤️
