LaVonne Dell Nobles

LaVonne Dell Nobles, born on September 14, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on August 27, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, at the age of 89.

She is survived by her beloved children: son Jim Pritchard (Martha), daughters; Belinda Callaway, Melinda Bass (Walt), Sherri Brown (Kenny), and Terri Hensley (Steve); and many great and great-great grandchildren. LaVonne's family and friends will remember her for her unwavering love, support, and the countless memories they shared. May her spirit continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and cherished friend, LaVonne leaves behind a loving legacy that will forever be remembered. LaVonne graduated high school and spent her professional life as a customer service representative in the retail industry, where she was known for her kindness and dedication to helping others. She told the story of her first job, working at See's Candy. She was excited to hear that during her first week of employment, she could eat all the candy she wanted. Her second week, candy was the last thing she wanted! Once her children were older she returned to her work in the retail industry. Her infectious spirit and warm demeanor touched the lives of many throughout her professional and personal life.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her most impressive feat was giving birth to two sets of twins! She often said that was her claim to fame, quite unusual for the time. LaVonne was always dressed impeccably from head to toe, all the way down to her coordinating jewelry. Her outfits were never complete without her signature blazer though, quite the diva at times!

She was a compassionate and devout Christian, outside of her family, her relationship with Christ our Lord was the most important part of her life. After retiring, LaVonne and her husband Ray, devoted themselves to caring for those in need. Working with an outreach program dedicated to those experiencing homelessness, LaVonne particularly enjoyed connecting with program residents, acting as a mother figure to many who needed a little extra love, a hug or an ear to listen without judgement. She and Ray took on the roles of church greeters, kitchen staff and gathering donations of food for the program among many other roles. LaVonne truly lived her life as a devoted Christian.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband Ray Nobles, former husband and father of her children Jim Pritchard Sr., her parents Troy and Katherine Gentry, and sister Eudene Frame.
