Kay Pistel Fields, 75, of Mt. Plymouth, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 7,
2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Kay moved to Florida with her parents in 1959.
She was the beloved wife of William “Jay” Fields and a devoted mother and
grandmother. Kind and caring by nature, Kay touched the lives of everyone who knew
her. She was known for her gentle heart, her love of family, and her warm, welcoming
spirit.
Kay graduated from Edgewater High School and Seminole State Community College.
She worked at Seminole State Community College in the bookstore as an assistant
manager and later as a bookkeeper for their Shell Station. Her greatest joy, however,
came from being a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker.
She loved sewing quilts and spending quiet afternoons birdwatching—simple
pleasures that reflected her creative and peaceful soul.
Kay is survived by her loving husband, Jay; her sons, Dr. Jason Fields and his wife
Tamarah, along with their children, Nevaeh and Malachi; and Mark Fields and his wife
Della, along with their children, Summer (husband Mason LaForest) and Luke Fields.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Edwin Pistel and Carolyn Pistel,
and her brothers, Kent and Kirk Pistel.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with family
visitation from 5:00–6:00 p.m. and public visitation from 6:00–8:00 p.m. The funeral
service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a
graveside service.
Kay’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly
remembered by all whose lives she graced.
