It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Rena Pumphrey, aged 64, of Bokellia, Florida, who left this world on August 20, 2025. Born on August 25, 1960, in Winter Garden, Florida, Karen lived a life marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering spirit.

Karen was a beloved wife to her husband, Curtis Pumphrey, whom she married on November 27, 1982. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories and adventures. She was also a devoted mother to her son, Curtis Pumphrey Jr. Karen also cherished her family deeply, leaving behind her beloved mother, Mary Gilbert, and brother, Robert Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her father, Hasty Gilbert. Karen’s nurturing nature and sweet demeanor left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

For over 40 years, Karen thrived in the agricultural industry as a plant broker, owning her own company for 23 years. Her passion for her work was matched only by her love for the great outdoors. A true adventurer at heart, Karen delighted in hunting, fishing, and exploring the beauty of the world around her. Her favorite color, blue, reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life.

Karen's meticulous planning and warmth extended beyond her professional endeavors to her family and friends, who will forever cherish her remarkable legacy.
