It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Franklin Miller Sr., who left us on January 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on November 17, 1939, in Plymouth, Florida, John lived a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure, touched by all who knew him.

Growing up in Plymouth, John developed a passion for riding his bike and cherished summers spent at his cabin in North Carolina. He proudly served as a Private in the Army, serving time in Okinawa.

John is survived by the love of his life, Patricia, whom he married on May 8, 1999, and together they created countless memories filled with joy. He was a proud father to Josephine (Eddie) Nuss, Johnny (Cindy) Miller, Ted (Vickie) Miller, Ginger Riley, Cynthia (Marc) Dudley, and Todd (Miriam) Dudley. John also leaves behind a remarkable legacy of 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored, including his sister Esther Strickland.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Miller and Irene Miller Sewell, as well as his siblings, Jackson Miller and Sara Blackwell. He was also preceded by his son, David Dudley, and his two beloved grandchildren, Daniel Miller and Amanda Riley.

While he may no longer be with us in body, John’s spirit will forever reside in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding us to journey through life with love and joy.
