Johnny was a son, husband, father, friend and preacher. He was at least a third-generation citrus nurseryman. He planted thousands of seeds to produce citrus trees. He was the first person to put citrus trees in containers and then took the trees to places like Zayres and gas station parking lots, running ads in newspapers and had customers come to that location. Johnny started out selling trees for $3.99 for three-gallon size containers. His dream was to have a big tree container business. Later, he ran commercials on TV shows advertising cocktail trees and others. His five boys all learned the citrus tree business (even though it might not have been by choice). He instilled in them the ability to work. He had a citrus nursery until 2008. Johnny was also a minister of the Gospel, preaching in gospel tents for 31 consecutive years. His preached in many states and an untold number of people were blessed. Still today, people say how his life touched them and how much they loved him. Anyone that came in our house was going to hear about Jesus. Johnny, you are so loved and will be greatly missed. Fly high with the Angels.
