John Charles Clark

John Charles Clark, age 66, went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2025. He was raised in Apopka, Florida, and lived a life marked by service, laughter, and love.

John began his career in law enforcement in 1995, culminating in his retirement on April 30, 2024 as a lieutenant with the Tavares Police Department. He was known as a gun enthusiast, a great cook, and a jokester who delighted in bringing smiles to those around him. A true motorcycle enthusiast and a vehicle guru, John loved the thrill of the ride and the mechanics that kept things rolling.

More than his professional achievements, John’s greatest joy came from his family. He proudly played the role of mom to his daughters, offered steady guidance as a loving father, and enjoyed being a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. He was affectionately known as G Dad to his growing family.

John is survived by:

- His wife of 23 Years, Toni Clark

- Children: Jennifer Canney, Brooke Skank

- Stepchildren: Joey Sharff, Lena Morgan, Brittany Hemstad

- Mother: Mary Alice Clark

- Siblings: Pamela Ferdinandsen

- Grandchildren: Briana Clark, Mariah Clark, Brayden Canney

- Great-grandson: Corbin Clark

John is preceded in death by his father Charles Clark; brothers Richard "Ricky" Dixon and Joey Clark; as well as his sister Phyllis Neely.
