Jeff was my best friend through middle and high school. We both had our first jobs together at Fudpucker’s. Looking back at that time, many of my best memories included Jeff. Whether it was driving around in his black Celica playing rock music on an old CD player, staying up all night during sleepovers playing video games, or playing pranks on our other friends, Jeff and I were always having a blast. The years I spent with Jeff helped mold me into the man that I am today, and I hope that held true for him as well. The Meller family always treated me like one of their own, especially you Barrie. Thank you for your kindness, hospitality, and support you gave me. Jeff was called from this earth too early, I know he had much more to give. He will be missed.
With Love,
Jason, Crystal, Ryan, Kayla, and Hailey Williams.

Jeff and I were work buddies. We met 8 years ago at EA; over the years we’ve worked together many times. I grew up in Niceville FL, and went to NHS, which is right down the road from where Jeff grew up; so we also had that in common and use to share stories growing up in the panhandle of FL. And of course, we had gaming in common too. One of my last face to face memories of Jeff was while we were still working in the office at EA. I had asked Jeff how to crack a SNES mini to get all the games. I knew Jeff would have the answer, he did…and much more. The next day he sent me an email that was paragraphs and paragraphs long, with links to instructional videos. I told him, “dude, this looks complicated”. Which he replied saying “nah, it really easy. You just have to solder a few wires, and download some software”. This is just shows one example of who Jeff was; a person who was always willing to to take time to help someone out AND he was so detail oriented. You were a great friend, and will be deeply missed Jeff.

Jeff and I were buddies since Elementary School. I remember running the streets with him in Poquito Bayou and just ‘being boys’. We did grow apart in High School, but our mutual love of gaming always brought us back into each others life. As funny as it sounds, I will miss Jeff’s “Leroy Jenkins” and his snarky humor. You’ll be missed buddy!

My heartfelt condolences to Jeff’s grieving family and friends. Meghan, thank you for letting know that I could attend Jeff’s memorial virtually. I stayed in attendance until the video stream was ended. Before it did, was surprised to hear Jeff’s voice and laughter again as footage of him gaming played on the screens. I’m sure many who attended virtually would agree that the broadcast’s ending was completely in keeping with how we will continue to remember Jeff.
