Harold Eugene Wilson, affectionately known as Gene, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the age of 91. He was born on September 3, 1934, in Wichita, Kansas, where he spent his formative years before embarking on a life dedicated to family, service, and his passion for the printing industry.
A proud veteran, Harold served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Following his military service, he attended college and began his professional journey mapping the streets of Jacksonville, Florida, for the state in the 1950s. His career in the printing industry took flight with Lewis Business Forms in Jacksonville, eventually leading him to Central Florida, where he opened ABC Printers and became a cornerstone of the local printing community.

Harold will be remembered as a devoted husband of 67 years to his beloved wife, Betty Jean Wilson. Together, they raised three cherished children: Cynthia (66), Brent (64), and Sharmon (55). He was a proud grandfather to Jessica Wilson, Matthew Hobbs, Kathryn Gardner, Stephen Hobbs, Elisabeth Smith, Anna Horton, Josh Craft, Mason Craft, and Kody Craft, as well as a delighted great-grandfather to Wyatt Hobbs, Chloe Gardner, Allison Gardner, James Gardner, Parker Olsen Hobbs, Parker Wells Smith, and Theodore Horton.

In addition to his family, Harold is preceded in death by his siblings: Harold (Red) Wilson, Tennessee Ozella Ward Wilson, Ward Everett Wilson, Barbara Tomlinson, and James Wilson. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Harold was a gifted pianist, an art enthusiast, a skilled sketch artist, and a passionate poet. He found joy in repairing bicycles for children in his neighborhood, playing a vital role in the lives of many.

A dedicated student of the Bible and end-time prophecy, Harold cherished his time with his church family, serving his community through his faith. His kindness and love touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Harold Eugene Wilson will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory be a blessing and his spirit live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
