Grady Jerome DuBose, age 70, of Geneva, Florida, passed away at his home on October 13, 2026. Born on October 2, 1956, in Tavares, Florida, Grady was also known to many as "Jerry" or "The Tractor Man."

Grady shared 24 years of marriage with his loving wife, Deneen DuBose (McLellan).

At the age of 25, Grady established Grady's Tractor Repair and Service, dedicating 45 years of his life to repairing and servicing farm tractors. He was known for his strong work ethic, honesty, and dedication to his customers. Grady took great pride in his work and genuinely appreciated the customers who trusted him throughout the years. He continued working at the business he loved until his illness no longer allowed him to do so.

Grady was a man of his word. He believed in hard work, loyalty, treating others with kindness and respect, and always taking care of his responsibilities. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and found his greatest happiness in providing for and spending time with his family.

When he wasn't working, Grady enjoyed tinkering in his shop, working in his yard, and spending time in Fort Payne, Alabama. He especially treasured the time he spent working alongside his brothers on property he and his wife had purchased there. Those days, along with family gatherings, home-cooked Southern meals, and sharing stories around the dinner table, created many cherished memories.

Above all, Grady was a devoted husband and family man whose love was shown through his actions, his dedication, and the many ways he cared for those closest to him.

Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Omea and Charlie DuBose; his brother, Ronnie DuBose of Fort Payne, Alabama; his grandson, Francis John Williams III; and his special friend, David Nelson of Zellwood, Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Deneen DuBose (McLellan); his children, Kenneth DuBose of Paisley, Florida; Connie Thompson (Rick) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; Colleen Dvorak (Albert) of Summerfield, Florida; and Michael Pelkey of Geneva, Florida.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; his sister, Deborah Nelson of Panasoffkee, Florida; and his brothers, Lonnie DuBose (Sheila) of Fort Payne, Alabama, and Donnie DuBose of Mount Dora, Florida.

Special Thanks

Deneen would like to express her heartfelt gratitude to Grady's sister Deborah, niece Kim Cason, lifelong friend James Labaire, daughter Colleen, son Michael, sister-in-law Tina Boyles, and sister-in-law Carla Cole for their love, kindness, and support during Grady's care. Their help and compassion during such a difficult time will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
