Francis John Connell Jr.

Francis John Connell Jr., 77, passed away on May 17, 2025. Born in Far Rockaway, NY, to the late Lois Lincoln Connell and Francis Connell Sr., where he grew up in Valley Stream, NY, and graduated from George W. Hewlett High School. Shortly after, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. 

Francis raised his family in Eastchester, NY, before relocating to Florida in 1990, living in Jensen Beach, Stuart, and finally Apopka. He worked for many years alongside his father-in-law at Henry Schiffel and Son Oil and Heating. A dedicated volunteer, Francis contributed to Operation Life Saver, Largo Trains, and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in Stuart, FL, where he served as Flotilla Commander. 

He is survived by his son Frank Wolf Connell and his wife Lindsey of Apopka, FL; sons Christopher Prescott Connell and Scott Henry Connell, both of St. Lucie, FL; granddaughter Daisy Connell of St. Lucie, FL; sister Catherine Connell-Lindquist of Madison, CT; and former wife and mother of his sons, Sandra Schiffel Connell Kemmerer of St. Lucie, FL. along with several nieces and nephews. Frank will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
