Edward Timothy Elias Shepherd

Edward Timothy Elias Shepherd affectionately called Pepe, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by family.

Born on July 13, 1936, in Windsor Forest, St. Thomas, Jamaica, he was a dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, and great uncle, who will be surely missed by his family and friends.

Edward lived a life that was very reserved but exhibited a quiet strength that could not be ignored. He spent the majority of his life working as a construction foreman and was instrumental in the construction of a few landmarks in Jamaica like the Ocho Rios High School. After emigrating to the United States in his late 50’s, and unable to procure employment in his chosen field, he worked as a cashier up until his retirement. Edward enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing pool, watching classic/vintage movies, and listening to oldies but goodies. In his later life, he exhibited a preference for praise and worship songs.

Edward is survived by his 8 children, Barbara, Junior, Sherril, Tricia, Norman, Sean, Dionne, and Renee; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grand children, 7 great-great grand children, daughter-in-law Tiffany, brother Paul, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by son Dwight and granddaughter Nicole.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Loomis Funeral Home, followed by a private family burial at Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery.

May his soul rest in eternal peace in the precious arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
