Durwood "Woody" Driggers, Tavares, Fl, born January 17, 1958, and raised in Apopka Florida left this earth peacefully on September 6, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends.
Durwood is survived by his loving wife, Tina Driggers, his daughter, Virginia Herrera (Mac); granddaughter, Jessica Herrera Manning (Austin); grandson, Christian Herrera. He is also survived by his siblings, David Driggers (Gloria), Danny Driggers (Kathy), Cindy Walker (Whitey), and Lorrell Bush (Gary), along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
If you were lucky enough to meet Durwood and call him a friend, you had a friend for life. Loyalty came naturally to him, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Durwood was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. He could often be found mowing a neighbor's lawn, helping a friend in need, or simply showing up when someone needed him most.
He loved with all his heart, and his family and friends were blessed by the countless ways he gave his time, his kindness, and his love. He never needed to be asked twice when someone needed help. His generous spirit and caring heart touched more lives than he probably ever realized.
Durwood also had a lifelong dream of hitting it big in the lottery. He was always hoping to win those millions, but although he never hit the jackpot here on earth, we know that he has received a much greater reward in Heaven.
Durwood leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, kindness, laughter, and friendship. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest peacefully, Durwood. You finally hit the biggest jackpot of all.
