In Loving Memory

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Daniel Kenski, who departed from us on November 2nd at the age of 91. Daniel was a devoted family member, and a treasured friend to many.

Born on May 1st, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, Daniel Stanley Kenski grew up surrounded by love and support from family and friends. He attended Garfield Heights High School, where he forged lifelong friendships through his involvement in band and on the wrestling team. He moved to Orlando, Florida in the late 1950s.

Daniel began working as a butcher and meat packager at a young age and continued to pursue his passion, with exceptional skill, throughout his working life. He also started his own businesses on more than one occasion, running a meat market and liquor store. Daniel was a devoted Catholic and member of the St. Francis of Assisi congregation where he served as Eucharistic Minister, Minister to the Sick, and Knights of Columbus. He took great pride and joy in his faith, which he was happy to share with others, yet he exhibited even more joy for his family.

Daniel is survived by his children, Susan, Sandra, Barbara, Joseph, Pauline, Elena, and Angela, and his sister, Eleanor, along with twenty grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and his Goddaughter, Mary. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Charlotte, his brother, Robert, and his son, Paul.

A funeral Mass will be held on November 24th at St. Francis of Assisi, where friends and family are invited to celebrate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Daniel's honor.

Though Daniel may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts and memories. May his memory be eternal and may he rest in peace.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
