Cory Dale Brewer, born on March 2, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on July 22, 2026, after a courageous battle with respiratory, kidney, and congestive heart failure. He lived in Brevard County FL for the majority of his life. His journey was marked by resilience and a determination to embrace life, even in the face of great challenges.
Cory was the cherished son of the late Charles and Barbara Brewer (Smith), who preceded him in death, along with his beloved aunts Vicki Brewer (Cook) and Marilyn Jean Brewer (Faucett) and uncles Van Brewer, Robert Brewer, and Jimmy Brewer. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Tracy (Angela) Brewer and Joey (Patricia) Brewer, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He is survived by nieces Katelyn Brewer, Lauren and Abigail Blythe, and nephew Nicholas Blythe. Cory’s extended family includes uncles Ron David Brewer I (Marilyn), Mike (Yvonne) Brewer, Dick Brewer, Terry (Kathy) Brewer, Taylor (Kathy) Brewer, Kyle Brewer, and Mark Brewer, as well as Aunts Patsy Brewer (Parker) and Joyce Brewer (Byrd). In addition to many cousins who loved him.
Cory’s life was enriched by his pursuit of knowledge, having earned a bachelor’s degree that laid the foundation for his career in solar panel installation at Florida Solar. He was passionate about his work, contributing to a sustainable future with every project he undertook.
Outside of his professional life, Cory found joy in playing golf, immersing himself in video games, and watching movies. He was also known for his love of snacks, which he enjoyed sharing with friends and family during countless cherished moments. His favorite outings were going to Longhorn Steakhouse with his Uncle Dick and ordering a 32 oz Ribeye-which he ate every bite!
A memorial service to celebrate Cory’s life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church, located at 115 N Christiana Avenue, Apopka, FL 32703. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory and the remarkable life he led.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The National Kidney Foundation Inc. in New York, an organization close to Cory’s heart. The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to his care team at West Melbourne Health and Rehabilitation in Melbourne, FL, notably Rebecca and Sandy, for their compassionate treatment of Cory as if he were their own family.
Cory’s legacy of kindness, perseverance, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in peace, embraced by the love and memories of those he leaves behind.
