Mrs. Betty A Swearingen Smith

Betty A. Swearingen Smith, 96, of Apopka, Florida passed away on August 07, 2024. Mrs. Smith was born on December 27, 1927 in Oakland, Florida to the late Thomas and Mary Swearingen. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Otis Smith Sr. She is survived by her children Shirley Howell, Sheila Mulligan, Donna Smith Brown, Otis Smith Jr and Cecil Smith II; as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Betty ran a nursery for many years and loved anything to do with plants. Mrs. Betty spent most of her down time in the garden where she grew many different vegetables and other plants, it was one of her favorite things to do. Mrs. Betty was often seen with both of her dogs, one a German Shepherd and the other a Chihuahua who always sat on her lap. She will be deeply loved and missed by her many loved ones and friends.
