Aurthur Gerald Larsen

Arthur Larsen, born December 28, 1937, of Leesburg Florida, passed away on September 7th, 2026. At the age of 88 years old, surrounded by the love that defined his life. 

To those who knew him, Arthur was many things: strong, witty, dependable, and deeply loving. To his family, however, he was something even greater. He was their foundation—the person whose presence brought comfort, whose humor brought lightness, and whose love made everyone around him feel protected and cared for. 

Arthur’s family was the center of his world and his greatest source of pride. He loved his children wholeheartedly, not only through words, but through the countless ways he showed up for them throughout their lives. His strength gave them something to lean on, his wisdom helped guide them, and his love gave them the reassurance that they were never alone. Whether offering advice, lending a hand, sharing a story, or simply sitting beside someone who needed him, Arthur had a way of making his family feel safe. 

Nothing brought Arthur greater happiness than being a grandfather. His grandchildren and great grandchildren held an especially tender place in his heart, and he treasured every moment he was able to share with them. He delighted in watching them grow, hearing about their lives, celebrating their accomplishments, and making them laugh. Each child, grandchild, and great grandchild was loved for exactly who they were, and each carried a special place in his heart. 

To his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Arthur was more than a grandfather. He was a source of strength, laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love. The memories they made with him—the conversations, family gatherings, familiar stories, quiet moments, and jokes told again and again—will remain with them throughout their lives. His lessons will continue to guide them, his humor will live on in the stories they tell, and his love will remain a permanent part of who they are. 

Arthur had a quick wit and a gift for bringing humor into everyday life. Those who loved him will always hear his voice in the familiar sayings he shared, including, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” It was a simple phrase, but it reflected the humor and perspective with which he approached life. Even during difficult moments, Arthur could make those around him smile. 

He was the strongest man his family knew—not simply because of what he endured, but because of the way he loved. His strength was found in his devotion, his loyalty, and his willingness to be there when his family needed him. Beneath that strength was a deeply loving heart, one that shaped his family and left an impression that time will never erase. 

In his final moments, Arthur was not alone. His hand was held, and he was surrounded by love. The same man who had given his family strength and comfort throughout his life was comforted by those who loved him most. Although saying goodbye was painful, being beside him was a final act of the love and devotion he had inspired throughout his lifetime. 

Arthur is survived by his children, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and brother. 

Arthur’s legacy cannot be measured only by the years he lived or the things he accomplished. His truest legacy lives in his family—in the children he guided, the grandchildren and great grandchildren he adored, and the people who are better because they were loved by him. His family will carry forward his strength, his wit, his stories, and the values he passed down to them. 

He will be remembered at every family gathering, in every familiar joke, and in all the moments when someone repeats one of his sayings and smiles. He will be missed in ways words cannot fully express, but the love he gave will never leave. 

Arthur Larsen was a loving man, a devoted family man, a cherished grandfather, a marine corporal, a state trooper, and had worked tirelessly to obtain his engineering degree to continue maintaining and providing upkeep in his role as a lead engineer for all hotels he managed under, and the strongest man his family knew. His absence will be felt forever, but so will his love. 

We remember Arthur Larsen for his courage and steadfast commitment with his time in the Marine Corps spanning from April 1957 to June 1959 Arthur Larsen served in Okinawa Japan, as well continued his service to his country, serving as a state trooper throughout the south of Florida. We all can recount his experiences, his trials, his commitment to better his family and community. 

Once Arthur Larsen had concluded his service to his community, He then pursued his degree in engineering. From there, he sought to become a tradesman for god’s grace. He worked with his hands, and used his sharp wit to ensure no detail went unnoticed, no flaw left uncorrected, the comfort and safety for all whom relied on him. 

We mourn and miss Arthur Larsen, however we remember that without his steadfast presence and as such our, world would not have been enriched to the fullest as he provided. 

Perhaps, in another life, there would have been more time—more stories, more laughter, and more memories still to make. In this life, Arthur gave his family something that death cannot take away: the certainty that they were deeply and completely loved.
