It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Frances Clark, age 87, of Eustis, Florida, who departed this life on October 29, 2025, at The Villages Hospice House. Ann was born on March 25, 1938, in Columbia, South Carolina, to Ellie and Arthur Pate. She grew up in the Conway area of Orlando, Florida, where she attended Boone High School.
Throughout her life, Ann was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and work. She began her career in the dry cleaning industry at the young age of 13 and ultimately excelled to the role of presser. Her commitment to her profession was rivaled only by her devotion to her family. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy that includes her beloved children: Sharon A. Bodiford, Karen D. (Joey) Vancil, and Troy A. Clark; as well as her nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. She is also survived by her brother Robert E. Pate, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ann was a valued member of the Conway Baptist Church and found joy in various activities, including dancing at the senior center, spending time at the beach, and participating in family gatherings. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she took great comfort in reading her Bible.
Ann will be remembered not only for her kindness and warmth but also for her vibrant spirit and love for life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
