Margaret Elizabeth (Mullen) Hixenbaugh
Margaret Elizabeth (Mullen) Hixenbaugh, 89, passed away, on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Florida Hospital in Altamonte Springs, FL. She was born on July 18, 1929 to William P. and Marie (Elceser) Mullen in Bridgeport, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and son Jeffrey D. Hixenbaugh, beloved siblings, Hilda B. Secrest, William “Bill” Mullen, Robert E. Mullen and James R. Mullen, sisters in law, Marcella Mullen, Mildred “Ann” Mullen and brothers in law: Carl Secrest and Frank Freeman.
She is survived by her children, Janet L. Rodgers, Robert Michael Hixenbaugh, Kimberly A. Dougherty, Christian S. Hixenbaugh, daughter in law, Linda Driscoll and son In law, Dale “Sonny” Dougherty; sisters, Gladys and her husband Henry Fischer, Helen Freeman, brothers, Thomas and his wife Helen Mullen and John Mullen, grandchildren, Sherry Adams, Kristy DeMercy, Elizabeth “Libbi” Dougherty, Suni Dougherty-King, Michael Dougherty, Jamie Wynn and Stevie Hixenbaugh, Great grandchildren, Erin Dinkle, Sean Adams, Ryan Adams, Tristan Dougherty, Haylie DeMercy, Matthew Dougherty-King, Madison DeMercy, Braiden Demercy, Alec Dougherty, Benjamin Dougherty-King, Maverick Dougherty, Leah Wynn and Ireland Dougherty, great-great-grandson, Atlas Dinkle, As well as several nieces and nephews and numerous other friends and family who adored her.
Margaret was loved immensely by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Words can’t express how much we miss her. We take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of the Lord and cherished loved ones who have gone before her.
Service arrangements are still being made and will be announced at a later date.

This is Hilda’s granddaughter Courtney from Ohio. My thoughts are with you. I have many fond memories of Aunt Margaret. Such a sweet soft spoken lady. I know grandma loved her very much. So sorry we can not be there.

I am so sorry for your loss and our loss! I have many great memories of Margie at our home on Kirkwood Heights in Bridgeport! She loved her Aunt Margaret , her mother’s sister! I am Margaret’s daughter , Sharon Dyson Stewart! Had some wonderful times with Margie as we called her!! Aunt Marie’s family was always very close to mom and grandma Elceser! They were at our house a lot and we would visit them a lot also! Great memories!!! ????❤️????
